AN ANALYSIS ON RELATION OF MANPOWER DEMAND AND EDUCATION - Business Advertisement Case-
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyse the relationship between employers labor demand through job advertisements and education level in the frame of education economy theories. This study is a qualitative research based on content analysis. One hundred job advertisements in different sectors on kariyer.net were analysed and classified by educational criteria. The fact that the forms of the relationship between the demand for labor and education were direct, indirect and eliminating was found out according to the findings. Nowadays, education is being tried to be made susceptible to the economy. Establishing the relationship between education and labour is increasingly becoming an indirect and eliminating process, which needs to be reviewed. Thus, the balance between “educare and educere” should be achieved properly. Individuals should be prevented from regarding education as a process of collecting diplomas and certificates. Furthermore, their understanding of the relationship between humans, society and nature should be developed. Professional skills should be determined according to working conditions including education and training.
